Lallemand Joins Industry Leaders in Highlighting the Benefits of Advanced Biotechnology

As part of the Advanced Biotech for Sustainability (AB4S) coalition, Lallemand, along with 12 other industry leaders, has co-authored a report that underscores the transformative potential of advanced biotechnology across various sectors.

The report, titled “Harnessing the Economic and Environmental Benefits of Advanced Biotechnology,” aims to inform executives, investors, and policymakers about the significant economic and environmental value at stake.

Key findings reveal that advanced biotechnology can drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve natural resources, and enhance product performance. The report identifies major opportunities in agriculture, chemicals, personal care, and biofuels, with potential benefits such as reducing CO2 emissions by up to 4 gigatons and saving up to 500 billion cubic meters of water annually.

The AB4S coalition, which authored the report, calls for strategic efforts and innovative partnerships to unlock biotechnology’s full potential. The coalition recommends that industry, investors, and policymakers collaborate, leveraging fact-based insights and actionable roadmaps to accelerate the adoption of sustainable biotechnology solutions.
