2020 OIV (Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin) Special Mention Award
We are proud to announce that Dr. Antonio Morata and Iris Loira, 2 researchers from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, with whom Lallemand Oenology has been collaborating for many years, were granted the Special Mention Prize in the Oenology Category for their book “Advances in grape and wine biotechnology” !
This open-access book is a collection of fifteen chapters that addresses different issues related to the technological and biotechnological management of vineyards and winemaking.
We would also like to warmly congratulate Jessica Noble and David Moreira Ferreira, both researchers from the Lallemand Oenology Team, who wrote a chapter of this awarded book on yeast strain optimization for enological application.
Each year, an international Jury composed of eminent personalities in the vitivinicultural world representing the OIV (Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin) Countries grants the OIV Awards.
With these awards, the Jury recognizes works of reference in each of the 11 categories open to competition. On the basis of the same evaluation criteria, depending on the competition and the qualitative level of the works presented in the different categories, the Jury may be prompted to mention other works that are also worthy of note, and then awards a “Special Mention”.
