100th anniversary of Montreal Prefontaine plant
On Saturday September 19th, the citizens of the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood celebrated the 100th anniversary of Lallemand yeast plant located on Préfontaine Street in Montreal, Canada.
The sun was shining and the privileged contact between the Lallemand team and the citizens have made this day a rewarding and enjoyable experience. More than 300 people participated in the event including 160 who have benefited from a factory tour, which is a record attendance for the production team that has guided with expertise our special guests! In addition, a lunch, games and clowns for children as well as booths to present the different business units were offered to citizens.
Several personalities from the politics and business fields were present, including the mayor of the district Mr. Réal Ménard, Councilman of the district Éric Alan Caldwell, the MP of counted Ms. Carole Poirier, Mr Laurent Blanchard, former Mayor of the City of Montreal and former municipal councilor, just to name a few.
